Executive Director, Regroupement des cabinets de courtage d’assurance du Québec (RCCAQ)


Guy Parent, CPA, CGA, has served as Executive Director of the Regroupement des cabinets de courtage d’assurance du Québec (RCCAQ) since September 2013.


In addition to being a member of the Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (Chartered Professional Accountant), Mr. Parent holds a bachelor's degree in finance and an accounting certificate from HEC Montreal School of Business. He has several years of experience managing non-profit academic and professional organizations. Drawing on his recognized expertise in defining and implementing strategic plans, he has worked alongside major national companies, consulting firms, government agencies and family-run businesses. His training and extensive experience in the areas of process optimization, communications realignment and organizational/financial restructurings, combined with his commitment as a board member of non-profit organizations, facilitate his current involvement in the brokerage industry.


As Executive Director, Mr. Parent works tirelessly to move forward on major areas of concern for the organization, including the ongoing review of provincial insurance legislation (Bill 188). A man of action, he cares deeply about the RCCAQ's mission and ensures that brokers' voices are heard in the settlement of issues affecting the insurance sector.


The RCCAQ is a professional association that seeks to promote and defend the socio- economic interests of its member firms. It represents more than 4,500 brokers in nearly 500 firms and branch offices across Quebec.
